We don't know how to tell you this, but....

We're kind of a big deal.  No, but really, our wedding was featured on a blog.  And a popular one at that.  So, how'd it happen?  Well, Louise over at Thirty Something Bride posts "Unfake" weddings.  Our photographer, Paul, nominated (maybe not the right word) us and we got selected!  So, we answered a few questions, Paul sent in some pictures and Erin & Jon's Unfake Wedding was born.  Craziness, right??  We were pretty excited and it was great to revisit such an amazing day.  So, if you want to check it all out, click HERE

On another note, we're loving the cooler weather and more chances to hang out with our family.  A few weekends ago Jon's sister's family was in town.  And Friday night we had an awesome chance to hang out with my bro's fam, and mis padres.  Oh my gosh, are those lil guys silly...and absolutely adorable :)
Mason even grabbed both of our cameras to get a few shots around our living room.  For one, a close-up of his face (after all, he's his father's son), one of my mom and Kristy, one of JW & I, and then one of my dad and Gav (to whom he said "lay your heads together").

Of course my dad had to do this...of course.  And because it's Mason's new favorite hobby, there was some Wii-playing.  So check out this fantastic video of Mason and Boo.  Braden thinks he is playing the Wii and they were too funny.

So that was our weekend.  We hope you all had a wonderful weekend too!  We hope you love what you saw at the Thirty Something Bride's Blog...and what you see here :)

We know our calculus....

E + J = USSSSSSSSSSSSS.  Anyone else remember that horribly awful song from back in the day?  In case you don't (or you for some reason want to re-live it), here's the link on you-tube .  I'm not going to lie, it's painful. But, what we really wanted to show off was our Young House Love inspired initials.  We picked up the frames on the cheap at KMart and then I googled our initials and an ampersand.  I only knew an 'ampersand' from all the APA formatting I've had to do for my master's lately.  Here's what we came up with!
If you like this design, not only does it offer inexpensive wall art, but my Grandpa pointed out it can also help us to remember which side of the bed we sleep on.  I think he almost commissioned me to make some for him and Gram!  And yep, there is another addition to our bed.  I made a pillow.  Sewed it myself.  It only took me two tries, too.  See, I'm not exactly a 'textbook' sewer (if there is such a thing).  I prefer to do minimal measuring and hope it works out...which might explain why I don't sew anything too precise :)
The fabric was from JoAnn's -- already on sale AND my teacher discount!  I have a little more fabric to make another pillow...eventually.
Now our biggest bedroom challenges are what to do with a bay window and window coverings as well as the super-narrow window on Jon's side of the bed.  Suggestions?
